Educators for Kids hosted its Fifth Annual Scholarship Breakfast on Sunday,
December 6th at the Mediterranean Manor in Newark.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, Educators for Kids
was able to award $500 scholarships to two exceptional students. This year's recipients were: Mr. Joseph Pinkston,
a West Side High School senior and Mr. John Chrystal IV who currently is enrolled in Brookdale College. These two young
men should make us all feel proud.

This year, Educators for Kids presented Ms. Lisa Hromoko, a third grade teacher from Lafayette Street School
our 2009 Educator of the Year award for her continued commitment and dedication to the children of Newark.
Educators
for Kids was also proud to honor Mr. Carl J Brinson (Tiny Prince) of the Newark Black Mirror News for his lifelong dedication
and service to the children and citizens of the City of Newark.
