On December 11th, Educators for Kids hosted its Seventh Annual Scholarship Breakfast at the Mediterranean
Manor in Newark. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, Educators for Kids was able to award two scholarships to
Claudia Ochoa and Cristina Rivera.
Claudia is currently attending Technology High School in Newark.
Ms. Ochoa is an outstanding student and currently has a 3.945 GPA and participates in many school and community
activities. She hopes to attend Essex County College and major in Education.

Cristina is currently attending Drexel University. She is majoring in political science and will
be graduating in 2015. Ms. Rivera is a political science major and her ultimate goal is to attend law school and become
an attorney. She is an excellent student who also strives to give back to the community by volunteering in various community
service projects.

This year, Educators for Kids was proud to honor three outstanding individuals for their lifelong dedication
and service to the children and citizens of the City of Newark. The three honorees are Police Officer Gregory Millstein
and Educators Ms. Normita Atienza and Ms. Barbara Lardieri.
