Educators for Kids hosted its Third Annual Scholarship Breakfast on Sunday December 9th at the Vince Lombardi Center in Newark.

This year, Educators for Kids honored four individuals who have demonstrated commitment and dedication to the children of Newark.  Our proud honorees were:

Mr. Robert D'Amico
Principal, Wilson Avenue School

Mr. Richard Maraviglia
Coach, Barringer High School

Captain Michael Marelli
Newark Police Department, Traffic Division Commander

Captain Dominick Saldida
Newark, Police Department, North Ward Commander

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsor, Sansone Auto Group, Educators for Kids was able to award $500 scholarships to three exceptional Newark students.  These three young men should make us all feel proud.  The recipients of this year's scholarships were:

Mr. Nicholas Antunes
St. Benedict's High School Senior

Mr. Edgar Fernandez
Barringer graduate, Bloomfield College

Mr. Robert Mercado
Abington Avenue School, W. Caldwell Sp. Ed. School

Congratulations and best wishes to our scholars and their families.
